When stressed or overwhelmed, we often rely on shallow chest breathing, which can lead to over activation of the mind and increased symptoms of anxiety and stress. But we can train urselves to use belly breath, or diaphragmatic breathing to energize or calm the mind. Known in yoga as pranayama, this conscious control of breath can help you:
